Review of HP ProBook 4525s

In terms of weight and dimensions, the 4525s is identical to the 4520s; the ports and features offered are also identical. it is availabel with LED HD anti-glare screen along with spill-resistant keyboard. Other than it's size and full size keyboard (with number pad) it is worth noting that the 4525s is basically a larger version of the 4325s (13.3'') and the 4425s (14.0''). Their starting prices are also similar. This enables the users not only choice for a range of options but to also pick from 3 common sizes without sacrificing features.

Take care of business with the stylish, affordable HP ProBook 4525s Notebook PC. This notebook has a 15.6-inch diagonal HD display, a full-size spill-resistant keyboard and numeric keypad, and wireless connectivity options for on-the-go professionals.

I would like share with you about two kinds of HP laptops. Those are belonging to the HP ProBook series with the codename of HP ProBook 4525s and HP ProBook 6555b. In this article, I will introduce the first one, which is regarded as a business notebook. Actually, this is a kind of notebook for you which will be headed for India soon. I also get its price tag on the purchase for Rs. 30,000. But it is a pity we have no idea about its released date.

The HP ProBook 4525s charger you can have both operating systems with Microsoft's SUSE Linux Enterprise 11. You can come up with two different processors: the AMD Phenom Triple Core II P820 and P520 Dual Core AMD Turion II. The first three core processor, an operating frequency of 1.80 GHz, 512 KB L2 cache per core, for a total of 1.5 megabytes of dedicated L2 cache and memory controller for DDR3 1333 MHz processor is a second dual core 2.30 GHz with 1 megabyte of L2 cache per core, for a total of 2 megabytes of dedicated L2 cache, but the integrated memory controller is DDR3 1066 MHz Both have a thermal design power of 25W.

The business features of these ProBooks work in harmony with the mainstream components inside. They allow the machine to run like your average consumer laptop rather than just a specialised business tool. The high quality processors and strong security defence features will make it a valued tool and despite the darkness issues with the 4520s its DVD/Blu-ray quality is fine. The ProBooks are the more affordable versions of HP’s EliteBook Series, with good usability and better functionality.

The HP ProBook 4525s Notebook PC lets you work smarter. This professionally-oriented laptop has a 15.6-inch LED-backlit HD anti-glare display, making it a mid-sized productivity platform equipped with state-of-the-art technology you can use. The HP ProBook 4525s Notebook PC has an AMD Athlon II Dual-Core P340 2.2GHz processor mated to 2 gigs of DDR3 memory for a comprehensive, business-ready portable PC. Save whatever you'e got: the HP ProBook 4525s battery comes with a 320GB hard drive and DVD+/-RW SuperMulti Dual Layer LightScribe optical drive. Connect whatever you need: the HP ProBook 4525s Notebook PC also features (3) USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, audio input/outputs and even an eSATA/USB combination port for your various peripherals. Connectivity isn't a problem either with 802.11b/g/n wireless and Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR built right in. Produce smartly: let the HP ProBook 4525s Notebook PC do the work for you!

Respectable performance from the AMD Turion II processor means you can comfortably browse the web, fiddle with your spreadsheets and listen to music at the same time. In our benchmarking tests, the HP matched the Samsung R530-JA02UK, and was only comfortably beaten by the Lenovo IdeaPad Z560.

The number pad is great, island keys look nice and feel good. The track pad has a ton of settings and options so with a little fiddling you should be able to find the settings that work for you. The display is definitely widescreen but looks great. There wasn't too much bloatware installed - mainly just a bunch of HP programs, but they were easily disabled/removed. Comes with McAffe 60 day trial which I uninstalled. Also comes with Office 2010 starter which provides Word & Excel limited versions. I love that this has a 7200 RPM harddrive as most laptops skimp with slower 5400 RPM options. Webcam works great and has a built-in light/flash. HP & Windows 7 even have face recognition for logging in, although that doesn't always work. The top has a matte finish with what I can best describe as a fine wood grain look that's somewhat grey/brown.

An integrated ATi graphics card is also included and the HP ProBook 4525s AC adapter has enough power to run high-definition video and older games, as well as the latest photo and video-editing suites. Again, only the Lenovo has more graphical power.

Getting at your information quickly is important to business users. HP’s QuickLook 3 helps you access email, dates and times, contacts and tasks within seconds. HP QuickWeb does the same for getting online even if your computer is turned off.

To protect your data, besides security software (see specs below) the HP 3D DriveGuard will keep your hard drive safe in the event of a drop, thanks to the accelerometer detecting the drop and telling the hard drive to stop.
